I only had an hour and a half sleep today…which is ok because I wanted to figure out how to do pop-y art anyway.
Look what I came up with!

I wanted to do vector(ing) but I wasn’t in the mood to trace and color everything…I’ll do that on the 5th night I’m deprived of sleep!

I’ve been sleeping close to 5 every night now ever since I DLded PS CS3. Thank you beloved Seeders!
Anywhoo, I normally spend countless hours generating icons for the Viggo icontest….that was the plan…until I’ve discovered the art of screencapping! And I don’t mean, pause…capture…pause…capture…I’ve been getting bursts of frames per second. Having said that, I still miss my Mac.
Anywhoo, here’s a random slew of ‘cons. Yeah, they’re stupid but hopefully, they’ll get adopted at LJ.
By the way, that’s Gerald Butler looking quite yummy…and daft from “P.S I Love You”.

Thanks to the incessant prodding of my fellow icon makers, I’ve finally decided to download PS CS3.
It’s been awhile, and my icons and banners are rough around the edges. I can’t seem to figure out how to extract a burst of frames from video files yet. Back then when I constantly ravaged my mac, I used IR…even then screen capturing was such a bee-yotch. Anyway, I’m rambling…Just thought I’d show you a little sumthin’ sumthin’ I made for my Manang Annette. It’s not much, but with IR scrapped from the newest PS versions, I’m not pumping out fanart like I used to. All my wonderful textures, brushes and patterns were all in my powerbook. IMAGONAHAFTA get that fixed…one day (which by then will be a day when pigs fly).

Ey, lookie here! Tito Bing’s barely holding up Manny’s belt and Pacman’s all, “Bitch I will smack the brown outta ya!”.
I believe Manny just earned a Masters in Ass Kicking and a PHD in Mothereffin-ology from the Jack Bauer Institute of Pwnage! Thanks to Ack Attack, I no longer make sense when I write. Makes me feel all kinds of crazy deep inside.
PACMAN DRINKS YOUR MILKSHAKE! HE DRINKS IT ALL UP!

Enduring Discomfort

Ahhhhh, why is it when I PMS, it always seem like my body is screaming, “Come hither, Misfortune! Ravage me until I can take it no more!!!”. So to keep me feeling positive, I’m posting this month’s Zen. About frakking time too because I was beginning to feel only the sight of Sawyer’s disheveled hair and bedimpled visage is the sole reason why I still wish to breathe.

Missing Our Old Habits
createdWhenever we make the effort to free ourselves of an addiction or a habit we no longer need, we are often surprised to find ourselves missing the old pattern as we would a familiar friend. This sounds counterintuitive, because we think we should instinctively gravitate toward what is good for us. Yet, it makes a lot of sense when you consider that we humans are creatures of habit. This is why we gravitate to people and places—and patterns of behavior—that make us feel comfortable. Therefore, many of the habits we form are not conscious and are based instead on learned behavior from role models who were not always making the healthiest decisions.

Most addictions begin as a way of avoiding feelings that are extremely uncomfortable, so it makes sense that stopping the addiction means a fair amount of discomfort for a time. The same is also true of habits that we have developed over time that we are ready to release. Just knowing that this is hard, and having compassion for ourselves as we work through this process, can help us to stay the course when we feel the urge to backtrack. It’s also helpful to remember that in time we will establish new, healthier patterns, and the yearning for the old ones will disappear. Eventually, we will instinctively reach for things that are good for us, and the longing for positive change may form the basis of a new habit.

The only way to get to this new place is to endure a time of difficulty, which is a challenge we can confidently handle, if we remember that it will lead to the change we seek in our lives. Our bodies, hearts, and minds always need time to adjust to a new way of doing things, but they will adapt, and even become our allies, if we remain true to our vision of a new way.
